With a vision to serving Montreal’s busy manufacturing industry, Nicholas Assaly founded Paramount in 1958.   

From the very beginning, Nicholas’ vision came from his understanding of his customers’ needs and how he could best help them to succeed.  He knew that his unique selling proposition had to be making solid, meaningful contributions to his customers’ bottom line. His customers returned his loyalty with theirs.

1996 marks the year that Nicholas Assaly passed away leaving his company and its future to his daughter Deborah and son Peter and Deborah’s husband, John Bilikas who joined Paramount that September. Nicholas’ daughter Deborah had been with the company since 1989 and had shared responsibility for sales and administration with her Dad. The trio propelled the company forward with the same vision and passion as did its Founder. Sadly, in 2000, Peter Assaly passed away.

Today, Deborah, John and the team continue to apply Nicholas’ formula for healthy growth:
