The Peter Assaly Memorial Fund

The founder of Paramount Paper Products, Nicholas Assaly, passed away from Leukemia in 1996. His son, Peter, who was Vice President, passed away from Leukemia in 2000. Peter's love for life and for others inspired his friends and family to create the Peter Assaly Memorial Fund. Maintaining the essence of Peter’s ideals, this fund contributes to the treatment and research of Acute Leukemia and related diseases, as well as provides financial support to patients who are unable to provide for their essential needs during treatment.

The fund also donates to applied clinical research, which enables the development of new laboratory technology to assist in the treatment of patients with cancers of the blood.

Each member of the Peter Assaly Memorial Fund Committee and its Medical Advisory Team is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Leukemia patients. In doing so, it helps to establish the Royal Victoria Hospital as a leader in the treatment of hematological malignancies. Paramount Paper Products strongly supports the Peter Assaly Memorial Fund and is very pleased to have the support of our clients, suppliers and partners.
